Vauxhall

Vauxhall is an inner city area of south London in the London Borough of Lambeth. It was once in the historic county of Surrey.

It has also given its name to the Vauxhall Parliamentary Constituency, which also includes parts of Brixton and Clapham, and to the Vauxhall Motors car manufacturer, which originated in the area, and possibly also to the Russian word for a large railroad station.

In 1998, Vauxhall became part of the borough's North Lambeth town centre, for local government administrative purposes.
